WaveBots Editor Launched!


It is finally time to launch my latest procedural music and SFX generator system.

The last time I launched anything music-related was Abundant Music which was several years ago.

This new tool is aiming towards procedurally generating an entire set of audio assets for game projects, including music, sound effects and stingers.

The idea is to make all the audio fit together by binding the parameters of all the audio generating templates to a common scale, instruments and rhythms etc.

I hope that you will find this tool useful and that you won't hesitate to inform me about what features you like to get implemented and what types of future audio templates and bundles you want me to develop!

There is a free demo version available that is only limited by the export options. The demo version can only export to WAV while the full version can export to MIDI, PICO-8, TIC-80, FamiTracker (not very well-supported yet) and has more options overall.

There are some example output files that you can download to just see if it lives up to your expectations. Only the text formats of the trackers are currently supported, which means that you will need the full version of TIC-80 to load the output for example.

The documentation is currently quite thin, but there are two tutorials available from the help menu that will get you started with generating your own audio assets. If you just want to listen to the output, put the system in 'Demo Mode' and turn up the volume to hear all the nuances of the retro music flowing out from the underlying music AI :)

All the output from the system is CC0, which means that it is free to use in commercial and non-commercial projects without any attribution.
